The KD Jazz and Dance Orchestra has its roots in the music of the 20’s, 30’s and 40’s, presenting a snappy brand of ‘good time’ music from ‘The Original Dixieland Jazz Band’ to Michael Buble. All the musicians have a wealth of experience behind them, ranging from West End shows, film soundtracks and classical concerts to jazz festivals.
The band offers many different combinations from a duo incorporating clarinet/sax and keyboard, through a mobile five or six piece band, to a full seven-piece combo with keyboard and singer.

You Decide Grant Voting Day
Many of you attended last year’s event hosted at the Tower Theatre, when we were lucky to win a grant of £1000 towards the hearing system. As we now have the money, we are hoping to have this system installed later this year.
We have been asked by local County Councillor Tim Prater to hold the event again this year. This time we shall be seeking funds for outside lighting and signage. To secure a grant FHODS needs as many members and others to vote for our scheme in preference to the requests for grants made by others. Last year a good number of members made it and it is hoped that as many or more will make it this time. Do not think that you can sit back and let somebody else do it, make the effort and come and vote. There are free tea and buns if you need further enticement.
Voting Day 11th september 2010 from 1.00pm
